12 More Weeks To Go!!!

This post is a little late but I hit 28 weeks on Thursday July 12! I'm in my third trimester! I feel like the pregnancy is flying by! I can't believe we will meet our little boy in less than 12 weeks!
I've been feeling really good these past few weeks. A little nauseous in the mornings and every once in awhile my back hurts a little. However, I easily forget all of that when I feel McCoy kicking! That has got to be mine, and Kirk's, favorite thing about pregnancy. These past few days I've even gotten to where I can feel a hand or a foot (not sure which) when he kicks really hard. It is so neat!
Kirk took this picture tonight and wanted to make sure he got the whole family in so we had to take it a few times to include Henry!

As far as the nursery goes, we're definitely working on it! Our bedding is being made. We ordered it about 4 weeks ago but one of the fabrics was on back order until now and they said it would take 10-12 weeks so we'll definitely be cutting it close. However, we should have everything else here in time. Kirk is going to be busy for the next few weeks painting. I ordered an unfinished crib, shelves, and end table. He is also in charge of painting the room, with help from my dad and his dad, the first week in August. I have everything in my head of how I want it to look and I can't wait to see the finished product. The picture below is our fabrics for our bedding and this is the whole color scheme for the room (lime green, turquoise, red, orange, yellow, and zebra accents).

I started washing our 0-3 month clothes this weekend and trying to be as organized as possible. I just can't believe we're already in our third trimester so it's really made me get busy! I'm going to try and be better at keeping everyone updated because I feel like lots of preparations and changes will happen these next 12 weeks. Also, if anyone thinks of any great advice for me, feel free to comment!

Cooking Out with the Ware Family!

Saturday night Chad, Amanda, and Harry came over to cookout with us! We had great steaks, corn on the grill, salad, and EXCELLENT german chocolate bars that Amanda made. We had so much fun talking, cooking and playing with Harry! Everytime I see him, he's grown so much and always has a new trick to show! He's really working hard on crawling and I know he'll have it soon!

Harry started off the night by playing with some of McCoy's toys

Then, he helped Kirk with the steaks

Next, he talked to McCoy about what they were going to do together when he gets here and gave him a little kiss!!

Sophie got jealous, so she went in for her own kiss!

Harry loved Sophie! He would not take his eyes off of her! He loved to watch her play fetch and everytime she came near he cracked up. It was so cute!

I thought the look on Harry's face in this picture was so cute! He is just the sweetest, happiest little boy! We can't wait for him and McCoy to meet and be lifelong buddies just like their dads!

We also love spending time with Chad and Amanda! We always have a blast with them! We can't wait to do it again soon!

Fourth of July Fun!

We started off our 4th of July celebration by going to the Rodeo of the Ozarks on Tuesday night. We went with Kirk's family and had a blast! We had great seats and the weather was perfect. I was pretty bad at taking pictures so you'll have to check out Jessica's blog for the pics. However, we did stay afterwards to watch the fireworks and Kirk took this picture. The fireworks were so pretty!

Wednesday Kirk and I had a pretty relaxing day. He mowed the yard and we worked out on our patio for the rest of the afternoon. That night we headed out to Jessica's parents' cabin for a cookout and fireworks. There was tons of food and TONS OF FIREWORKS! We had such a great time meeting some people in Jessica's extended family and just hanging out. The cabin and land were the perfect place for the festivities! Hope everyone else had a great 4th!!

Gulf Shores!!

This past week Kirk and I went to Gulf Shores with my family. We drove down to El Dorado Friday night after work and got up early for the 8 hour drive on Saturday morning. We had way too much fun!!! Kirk and dad played golf 3 times and mom, Sara, and I spent most of our time lounging on the beach and reading. It was so relaxing!! We did make time for one day trip to the outlet mall which was wonderful! There were a ton of shops and we got lots of great deals. However, I think McCoy got more than anyone!!!
We stayed in a condo, so most nights we cooked dinner and watched movies. In the mornings, we slept in and then the girls would take a walk on the beach. The weather was perfect and the beach was gorgeous!

Thinking about how they can improve their golf game...

Bronzed Beauties!!

Kirk and me showing off the baby bump!

Dad has a few more pics that he's going to send me that I plan to add. A really good one of the whole family!!!

We got back to El Dorado on Saturday afternoon and found a little surprise. A tiny kitten had shown up and he was so skinny!! He thought their dog, Sebastian, was his mama so he followed him everywhere. We cooked out Saturday night so the kitten cuddled up to Sebastian on the deck

.

The picture needs to be turned around, but you can see him in Sebastian's tail. It was too cute!! However, those of you who know Kirk know how much he loves animals and he tends to rescue them A LOT! So, the kitten is still hanging around my parents' house and next time we see them it looks like we might have a new OUTDOOR kitten! Goodness!

The trip was great and it was hard to come back to work! Anytime we all get to spend together is always lots of laughs and fun! We kept talking about how next year, we'd have McCoy along and how fun that will be!! We can't wait for next year's beach vacation!!!
