Trick-or-Treat on the Square

Yesterday afternoon, after a very short nap, McCoy and I met Leanne, Holden, and Holden's SuSu downtown for some more trick-or-treating and games. We were a little late for the trick-or-treating but still were able to get a few treats. McCoy definitely had the hang of it by then but was still just as excited that people were putting stuff in his bag!
Before we headed into the Town Center for some games, we stopped to get some pics of the boys. They were amazingly cooperative and we ended up getting lots of cute shots!

Best Buddies!!

They had a few booths with games and face painting set up inside the town center and the boys had so much fun! I think they're favorite was ring toss. Holden even got to join in with a little help from his mommy!

Expert Ring tosser!

Holden's got the hang of it!

We even tried to get McCoy's face painted but he was having none of that! He sat up in the chair, but I think he just wanted a piece of candy, because as soon as she started he pointed at the candy bowl and jumped down. Smart little guy!

Cutest pirate ever!

Halloween Party at MDO

Yesterday, after lunch, McCoy had a Halloween party at MDO. Even though McCoy doesn't go on Fridays, we decided to make a special trip so he could have some fun with his friends. I was so glad that we did, because McCoy loved it!
It was his first go at trick- or-treating and he got he hang of it quickly! He got so excited everytime he said "trick-or-treat" in his own McCoy speak and one of his teachers stuck something in his bag. He would look in it, get really excited, and come show it to me. It was so cute!

Showing Amanda his treats!

Addison liked the treats, too!

Next, we headed back to they're room for some fishing and snacks. McCoy loved fishing because when you threw your line over the wall, it always came back with a treat!

Trying to catch the biggest treat!

Helping Cy, the astronaut!

After the played games, it was time for a snack! They had petit fors from Rick's! YUMMY! McCoy loved his and by the time he was done it was everywhere! But I think the biggest mess might have been made by Addison!

Getting every last bit of icing off his fingers!

Weekend Projects

On Sunday, Kirk and I planned to have a relaxing day...maybe go to the grocery store. I mentioned that I wanted to repaint our coffee table lime green at some point and Kirk said "let's go to Lowe's". On the way there we also started talking about how we'd been thinking about painting our half bath, but we couldn't decide on a color. We looked at some paint samples while we were there and decided to go with orange.
So instead of our relaxing Sunday, Kirk painted the bathroom and coffee table. I guess I still got the relaxing Sunday, though... I offered to help with the bathroom but Kirk wanted it to be a surprise so he wouldn't even let me open the door while he was in there!
Everytime I look at our new coffee table, it makes me smile! It really adds a lot to our living room!

I love the half bath, too! I realize it's looking a little Halloween-like but I'm planning to make some decorating changes. I've got a mirror that will great in there on my Christmas list! I'm thinking of using lots of turquoise and green...

I love that Kirk is always up for a project and appreciates my bright taste in colors!! I'm a little bit of a procrastinator when it comes to picking stuff out, especially paint colors, but Kirk just goes for it!! Stay tuned to see what we might paint next....

Keeping Up with Current Events

Even a 2 year old needs to know what's going on in the world!

Meeting Georgia Kelley

Last Thursday, Kirk, McCoy, and I got to meet Harry's new sister, Georgia Kelley. We've been huge fans of Harry's ever since he was born and knew that we would love his baby sister just as much! GK is such a good baby and looks just like her big brother!!!
We had a great time loving on her and watching the boys jump on Harry's new trampoline. We can't wait for our next visit with GK!

McCoy the Monkey

This morning when I went to get McCoy out of bed, he was already halfway out! I guess I was taking too long to come get him! So far, we've been really lucky that he hasn't tried to climb out of his crib yet, but I think that time may be coming to an end. I'm not ready to put my baby in a big boy bed yet!

"Finally, Mom! I was about to take matters into my own hands!"

"Ok, quit laughing and come get me...I think I'm stuck!"

Fun at Fast Lanes

On Monday night, MeMe and Dig took us, Owen, and Anna Grace to the new Fast Lanes in Rogers. McCoy had never been bowling before and we knew he would love it! As soon as we walked in, he was excited to see all the balls lined up on the racks. He kept trying to go over and pick them up and got a little confused when they were so heavy! At Fast Lanes, they have a rack of smaller balls that were perfect for McCoy! However, Daddy thought McCoy needed to use a heavier ball to get the better score and I guess he was right! McCoy beat everybody with a score of 107!! I think he's a natural!

"When can I push it??"

"It goes farther if I open my mouth when I push!"

"Go, Go, Go!"

"That's right! I'm clapping for myself!"

Ahoy There Mates!

Last Saturday we threw McCoy a Pirate (PiPi in McCoy speak) Party to celebrate his 2nd birthday! It started at 10 am so we served breakfast foods like breakfast casserole, cheese grits, sausage balls, and of course, a delicious Rick's cake. McCoy invited some of his friends to come and spend the morning with him to celebrate. During last year's party, it was very warm so we all stayed outside but this year it was windy and cold, so Kirk's plan to decorate the swingset as a pirate ship fell through:( However, we did have lots of decor for the house and still had a blast! We did go outside for a little bit to let the kids take turns on the pinata that turned out to be indestructible!! It was so funny to watch them try to break into it, but they were really happy once we finally ripped it open and let the candy fall out!
Here are some pics and a video from the party...

We had such a great time at McCoy's birthday party and most importantly, so did he! I know I've seen this several times already, but I still can't believe it has been two years since he was born. Thanks to our friends and family who came to help us celebrate our sweet boy!

More Birthday Stuff!

McCoy's birthday celebration did not end after our morning videos! We had such a fun day and I tried to make sure it was all about him! But then Kirk informed me that everyday is all about McCoy and I realized that is so true, but we don't mind one bit!!!
On Thursday night, I got out the video camera to make sure it was all charged up and ready to go. I started looking back at our old videos and although I love McCoy's sweet personality and the little boy he is growing up to be, it made me so sad to think of how fast it has happened. It was just a great reminder for me to make sure I enjoy everytime he climbs up in my lap to read a book, or doesn't want to leave my side, or wants to "help" me put away the dishes and fold laundry, because it's not going to be like this for much longer and I know I'm going to miss it! So, before I start completely bawling, here are some pics from McCoy's fun day!
Some of you might remember Mr. Frog...He's back! I haven't taken McCoy's picture in front of him since his 1st birthday so there was a big difference!

2 Years!...still being bribed to sit still!!

Calling the Hogs!

Hugs for his old friend, Mr. Frog!

At dinner, I made some of McCoy's favorite things, like parmesan chicken and mashed sweet potatoes. Afterwards, we put some towels under McCoy's table and he got to blow out candles again, on his mini Razorback cake!!! We're having his birthday party next weekend, but I wanted to at least have a little cake for him.

"Happy Birthday to me!"

"I've got this down!"

"Yummy!"

"I bet I can get a bigger bite than Daddy!"

And of course, we also took some more video. While Kirk was videotaping, I was taking pictures, so it definitely looks like he's surrounded by paparazzi in the video with all the flashes! I think he felt like it, too!

The first video is more "happy birthday" singing and him blowing out his candle. He used a little spit this time!

The second one is him eating cake and telling us how old he is!

Happy Birthday, McCoy!! We love you so much and hope that your day was really, really special!!! Also, thank you so much for all the sweet calls, texts, and comments for McCoy! He loved getting all the sweet birthday wishes!

And surprisingly, I've already taken McCoy to his 2 year appt, thanks to Kirk's reminders, but I'll post that info later, along with some other milestones and things I definitely don't want to forget.
