McCoy's 3rd Birthday!!

Saturday was McCoy's 3rd birthday (more on my feelings about that later...), so we decided to celebrate with some of McCoy's besties at Jump!Zone!! This is the first year that he's actually talked about his birthday and wanting to open presents. It made celebrating really fun!!

McCoy's birthday party theme was WonderPets because he is OBSESSED with them and has been for over a year. I had a cute t-shirt made for him that had Tuck on the front and he was so excited about it!
When the kids first got there, they all got to spend an hour jumping on or sliding down all the inflatable bounce houses that were there. They all had so much fun! McCoy has been to JZ a few times. The first time he was very scared and went down one slide with me, and the second or third times it took him awhile to warm up but he did a lot better. However, I had to go down all the slides with him. But this time, he was fearless and loving every minute. Kirk and I were so excited we'd decided to have his party there!!

Birthday boy!

Here are some pics of the kids (and some mommies) having fun on the inflatables and slides...

Once they were worn out and hungry, we went into our party room for pizza and cake! They were starving and worn out, so it was no surprise that the room was silent. Too busy eating!!

McCoy was so excited for everyone to sing "Happy Birthday" and get to blow out his candles. He'd already practiced several times that morning!

Thank you Rick's for the delicious cake!!!

After cake and ice cream, McCoy got to sit in the special throne chair and open his presents. He might have been a little overwhelmed and he really didn't understand why we weren't taking the toys out of their box and letting him play with it! No worries, he was able to do lots of that once he got home!

In the picture below, notice the guy in the orange shirt. His name is Wil (spelled just like that) and he was our party captain. He did EVERYTHING!!! He even wrote who gave what gifts for me to write thank you notes!! Now if I could only find that list...

Our family of 3!

Kirk and I were so happy with everything at Jump!Zone! We would definitely recommend it as a great place to have a party!! It was a successful 3rd birthday party and now I can breathe easy...until next year!!!

Ozark Corn Maze

This afternoon Kirk and I took McCoy to the Ozark Corn Maze. I think this is the first year that it has been open, so we were really excited to go try it out! It was a perfect day!
McCoy ran into one of his besties, Cy, who happened to be there with his mama, too! We took the boys into the petting zoo area first. They had goats, a calf, and pigs. One goat just laid there and was loving all the attention, but there was another one that McCoy was chasing around trying to pet him. McCoy used the words "soft" and "it's so cute" to describe the goats!

"Get back here goat!"

After the petting zoo, we bravely ventured into the Razorback-inspired corn maze. McCoy decided that he should be in charge of the map. I'm pretty sure he really thought that he could read it because he looked at it the whole time and tried to lead the pack. I'm not going to lie...we got lost!!! But after awhile of walking around and Kirk getting a little nervous that we didn't have any snacks to keep our energy up, we made it out! We were very proud of ourselves!

"This way!!!"

After the corn maze, McCoy wanted to go on a ride in the cow train. While we waited in line for the train, he played on a huge pile of mulch. He loved it!

Or coming down at a quick run!

When it was our turn on the train, McCoy did not want to go by himself so Mommy jumped in for a VERY bumpy ride! It was a little painful, but McCoy loved it so it was definitely worth it! The whole time we were riding he was saying "going on a train ride!" and "weeeeeee!!".

"And we're off!"

We had so much fun and think that the Ozark Corn Maze is a definite must-see! Love this time of year!!!

Bikes, Blues, & Soccer, Too!

We have had a fun-filled Saturday and spent most of it outside enjoying the fabulous weather!!!
This morning we went over to Tyson Park to watch Owen and Anna Grace's soccer games. Anna Grace was up first and we were so excited we were there to see her score her first goal! We didn't get to see a whole lot of Owen's game because we had to leave early, but we did get to see him play goalie for a little bit! I think McCoy is very excited for next year when he gets to play soccer!!!

After the soccer games, we met Leanne and Holden downtown to eat lunch and check out the crowd for BB & BBQ. We had a yummy lunch at U.S. Pizza and on the walk back to our cars, the boys checked out some bikes. McCoy and Holden's favorite part was waving to all the bikers as they drove past! Lots of them waved back and even a few revved up their motorcycles and the boys were very impressed! Even though they enjoyed it, Leanne and I made sure to make it clear to them that they were not EVER allowed to have their own motorcyles!
