I am so lucky to have these two helping me in the kitchen! Things might take a little longer than normal, but it's definitely more fun!!!

Thirsty???

I guess I'm not giving McCoy enough to drink and he's getting dehydrated...

This is Sophie and Henry's water bowl...

So refreshing!!!

Yesterday morning I found him sticking his hand in their water bowl and bringing it to his mouth for a little taste. He also liked just splashing around in it...

Don't worry, I stopped him right after I got these pictures! Luckily, we keep the dog food outside and he hasn't yet discovered where the cat food is. I assume it's only a matter of time...

Now, why was I not watching while he was sipping disgusting water and making a huge mess??? I was busy sweeping up glass from a broken picture frame...

He loves pulling out these end tables and just scooting them back and forth on the floor. Luckily, nothing fell on his head and he didn't get cut!

He's really started getting into stuff and I'm working on telling him "No". The bad part about it is that he always smiles really big at me so it's hard for me to stay serious and not laugh at him!! He's just so darn cute!!!

******ADDED INFO!!!

My very good friend, Lauren Rew, just found out she is having a baby BOY!!!! He is scheduled to arrive towards the end of January. Her and Daniel are sooooo excited and so are we!! McCoy is thrilled that he's getting a new buddy! I can't wait to go visit Lauren and Daniel in a few weeks and start shopping for boy stuff! We're so happy for yall!!!

McCoy is 10 Months!

10 months old!

Today McCoy is 10 months old! We've hit the double digits! Things in the Miller household have changed drastically between his 9 and 10 month birthdays! Trying to get his picture in front of the frog was definitely not as easy as it has been in previous months!

Here's my list:

1. Two days ago he started crawling!! Yeah! McCoy has never been much of a mover and I'll admit, I was a little nervous about that. I don't know what I thought could be wrong but I'm a worrier so I worried! He didn't even start rolling from his stomach to his back until a few days before his 9 month birthday. However, a few days after that he was rolling all over the place! He'd get to the wood floor, roll to his back, and push backwards until he was across the room. So cute, but I still wasn't sure if he'd ever crawl. But two days ago he did it and slowly but surely he's starting to realize he has all this freedom! He's getting better everyday and he's getting a few more bumps on his head than he's used to, but I'm trying to just let it happen!

2. As for his eating schedule, he's now having three meals a day, one or two snacks, and two bottles (morning and night). He's also gotten to be a pro at his sippy cup and he LOVES water!! Now that he's only having two bottles a day I feel like he's such a big boy! I remember when I was nursing him every two hours!

3. Some other big news is that he's finally sleeping in his own bed! I know, we should've done that a long time ago but I just got so used to having him right by me. We had no problems switching him. He went right to sleep and slept all night!

4. He has only pulled up once but now that he's crawling he's trying to pull up on everything. He gets to his knees great just has a hard time figuring out where to go from there.

5. His favorite toy is his Noah's Ark that plays music and all the animals that go in it. He loves to chew on them!

6. When he eats, I'll think he's really hungry but then he'll open his mouth and he'll have food stuffed in his cheeks. It's so funny! I guess he's saving it for later or can't quite figure out what to do with it once it gets to the side of his mouth.

7. He still says da-da a lot. I also think he's saying Hi and Yes. The other day I kept telling him "No" and he would come back with "Yes". He probably didn't know what he was doing but it was still funny!

8. He still loves to scream! In the store, in restaurants, wherever!! Most of the time people thinks it's funny, but sometimes we get a few looks.

9. When you stand him up, either on your lap or holding onto a table, he bounces like he's dancing. Even if I try to hold his hands and get him to walk, he prefers to dance.

Kirk and I are having so much fun with him! He's such a happy boy and he laughs all the time, even when he's sick! This past week he had a runny nose and cough so I finally called the doctor on Thursday because he hadn't been sleeping well. Come to find out, his eardrum had ruptured!!! I felt absolutely awful that I hadn't done something about it sooner, but I had no idea. During the day, he was so happy! I just thought he wasn't sleeping because the drainage was bothering him! He's on antibiotics now and sleeping great!

I can't believe he will be 1 year old in 2 months!! This means I have to start working on his birthday party!!

He's On the Move!

Today when McCoy got up from his morning nap I sat him on the floor, like I always do, so I could pick out his clothes. Usually he gets on all fours and tries to reach for his lotion. And by the time I turn around, he's on his belly. NOT TODAY!!! I turned around and he was crawling right for it!! I was so excited!!!
While I was calling Kirk to tell him the big news, McCoy kept reaching for the phone so I laid it on the floor and he went right to it!

This isn't the best video but I have a feeling when Daddy gets home tonight we'll be taking lots more! I'm so proud of him!!

Happy Birthday, Lacy Margaret!

On Sunday afternoon, McCoy's Great Aunt Karen and cousin, Lacy Margaret flew all the way from North Carolina to meet him! We were so excited that they were able to come and visit us for a few days. Also, Lacy Margaret's 11th birthday is this Friday so we had some celebrating to do!
When we got home from the airport on Sunday, we grilled out and had lots of catching up to do.
Monday we went to the Promenade and ate at Fish City Grill (YUM!) and shopped all day long! McCoy was such a trooper! He had so much fun and he loves the way his screams echo in Dillard's! He got a quick 20 min. nap in his stroller and then was ready for more socializing.

Everyone needed a quick shopping break!

Monday night Lacy Margaret chose mexican food as her birthday dinner, so we headed to Abuelo's. Once again, we had some more yummy food!! It was a little bit past McCoy's bedtime when we were there but he was doing great! He got fussy a few times, so I got out the camera and he forgot all about bedtime!

We were all cracking up at what a little ham he is! He absolutely loves the camera!
When we got home that night, we surprised Lacy Margaret with a cookie cake! She was so excited and the cookie cake was a big hit with everyone!

We had so much fun while they were here and hated for them to leave today. McCoy thought they were so funny and he can't wait to see them again! We'll have to make a trip to North Carolina soon! Happy Birthday, Lacy Margaret! We love you!

Saturday afternoon McCoy was in such a funny mood! He was talking away and screaming so Kirk got the camera out and as soon as he did, McCoy started posing. It was so funny! He'd turn and look at the camera and start smiling really big, blowing raspberries, and making funny faces! We got some of the cutest pictures!

While we were playing we had a first! McCoy pulled up to standing on his musical table!! We were so excited for him! He only did it once but he'll get the hang of it and then it will be time to clear off the coffee table! What in the world did we do for entertainment before him????

McCoy's New Friends!

This week McCoy got a new girl friend!! Our friends, Drew and Lindsey Childers, welcomed their baby girl on Tuesday!! She was 7 lbs 6 oz!! We haven't been able to meet little Charley Drew yet but her mommy sent us some pictures and we're obsessed with her!! She's absolutely gorgeous and we can't wait to meet her in person!

Also, on Thursday morning McCoy found out he'll be getting a new boy to hang out with in late November or early December!! Thomas Holden Deweese will be arriving around then and we can't wait to meet him! McCoy was so excited! We went shopping with Leanne on Thursday afternoon and got some adorable things for Holden to wear once he gets here!! Now all Leanne needs to do is start a blog before Holden gets here...hint, hint!!
