Ready for Golf Season!

We really enjoyed the GORGEOUS weather that we had on Thursday! McCoy broke out the golf clubs and started working on his swing for the upcoming season. I think he's improved quite a bit since last year...I know his daddy is very excited!!!

Here's a couple of short videos of his swing...

McCoy's First Goose Egg!

Today was our first experience with an accident that actually left a mark! McCoy fell into one of our wrought iron barstools tonight and bumped his head... HARD! He has the bump to prove it! We've been pretty lucky so far and he's only had a few bruises and some bloody noses, but this just breaks my heart. I think it's hurting mama and daddy worse than him!

It just makes me hurt for him! I know that there are going to be many more bumps to come so I guess I need to get myself prepared. But that doesn't mean that I can't hug and kiss on him a little bit more tonight!

Monday is a Fun Day!

Today has been a very fun and busy day at our house! Addison's mommy had something to do today so Addison came over to play with McCoy! A and M always play so well together. It's so cute to watch them interact and share. One of their favorite toys was the trampoline and they did an amazing job of taking turns! I was so proud of both of them!
For about 10 minutes they stood in McCoy's bathroom and played in the sink. I had to get a picture of them sharing the stool...

Such cuties!

McCoy had so much fun and we can't wait for Addison to come back and play soon!!!

On another note, Kirk and I had a great Valentine's Day! We met up with some friends at Mary Maestri's for a very yummy dinner. We had lots of fun visiting! Before we went to the restaurant we had Kirk's mom take a rare picture of the two of us.

(Couldn't decide which one I wanted to use...)

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day Party

On Friday, McCoy had a Valentine's Day Party at MDO. He had so much fun playing with his friends and getting all his sweet Valentine's!
They had a game set up for the kids... I guess you would call it pin the heart on the big heart! They all thought it was lots of fun! Even Mrs. Trish got a few hearts stuck on her.

He also asked Addison to be his Valentine and I'm not sure she was too thrilled about it... Hopefully she'll come around soon!

After playing games, they set down for some yummy Valentine's cookies. McCoy thought they were delicious! The red icing made him look like he had lipstick on!

We had so much fun at his party! We're ready for some more Valentine's fun today!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Sweet boy!

This past Tuesday, when the schools were closed, McCoy and I went over to MeMe's house to play with Owen and Anna Grace. The plan was to take the kids sledding and play in the snow...not so much! We got all the kids bundled up, grabbed the sleds, and walked down the street...just a side note, it was FREEZING! Once we got there, Owen and Anna Grace jumped on their sleds and went down the hill. McCoy has never been sledding before so I thought if he watched them, he would want to do it too. He spent the first five minutes saying "Weeeeee!" as they went down the slide and the next five minutes in tears with a runny nose! I felt awful for him so we all headed back for the warm house!
Once we got inside, MeMe got out the cookie dough for the kids to make cookies. They all piled around the counter and got to work...making cookies and eating the dough, of course!
We had a such a fun morning playing with McCoy's cousins!

Bubble Boy

I am SOOOOOOO happy to say that McCoy is finally sitting down and playing in the bath again! For the better part of a year, he has refused to sit down. It kind of makes for a quick bath because we're worried about him slipping and there's not a whole lot of playing he can do while standing. For the past week he's been sitting consistently so we're very excited!

Last night, all 3 of us had a blast during bathtime! McCoy was "swimming" around and blowing bubbles. He really liked it when Mama or Daddy blew bubbles with him. Afterwards we were all soaked but laughing! Here's some video of our fun!

(Please excuse my obnoxious laugh at the beginning...Gonna have to work on that)

Our Friend Archie

On Sunday afternoon Dig and MeMe came over to play in the snow with us. It took us FOREVER to get one of McCoy's mittens on and after about five minutes of us trying to get his thumb in the correct position, he was totally over it! Does anyone else have problems with this or is it just us??? So, we decided to go outside anyways and thought maybe he would really want his mittens (gloves, as kirk would prefer I say) once his hands got cold.
He immediately ran in the yard to help Daddy swing his golf club, got caught up in the snow, and fell!! Of course, his hands went into the snow and he didn't like it at all! Back into the garage he went and that is where he stayed!
Kirk tried to entice McCoy out by building a snowman. He did a great job on our snowman whom we call Archie! We even have a carrot for the nose, cranberries for the mouth and eyes, and twigs for the arms.
Once Archie was done, McCoy came out, said hello, and gave him a high five! They were instant buddies!

"High five, Archie!"

I tried to get a picture of Daddy, Dig, and McCoy with Archie, but McCoy didn't think that was a good idea. Notice him to the back right.... Not very happy!

McCoy is still really intrigued with Archie. When we leave or pull into the driveway, he waves and says "hi" or "bye". It's really cute! Today when we got home from MDO, he went outside and stuck Archie's carrot nose back on. Such a sweet boy! On a sad note, we're slowly losing Archie:( I don't think the carrot nose will hang on for much longer, he's lost his left eye, and his whole mouth is gone. We'll miss him but hope to see him again next year!
