Lights of the Ozarks

Several weeks ago...way behind...we went downtown with the Deweese's to see the Lights of the Ozarks Parade. The square was packed so we didn't get to take any good pictures afterwards but the boys really enjoyed the parade!! They especially liked the floats that threw out candy!

Saying "hi" to all the floats!

Kisses for Daddy

The boys

The lights are gorgeous!

We had so much fun and McCoy LOVED the parade! We're planning to make another trip for some better pics!!

This is a random picture but I love it. Last year McCoy got this robe for Christmas. He didn't like it then and he doesn't like it now. But he just looks soooooo cute!!! Don't worry, I took the robe off right after the pic!!

Happy Halloween!!

We had a fun, but very busy night on Halloween! Our first stop was at a friend's house for their neighborhood party. It was lots of fun! They had chili and hot dogs on the driveway and a bounce house for the kids. I didn't get any pictures but we had lots of fun visiting and McCoy was not liking it when we pulled him out of the bounce house to leave!!
Our next stop was in Holden's neighborhood for some trick or treating! This is where things got a little wild!! We got to their house and rang the doorbell...no answer. I was a little concerned since they knew we were coming, so I walked around back to see if they were out there. In the back I decided to try their back door...and set off their alarm!! So, the alarm's going off, no sign of the Deweese's, and I can't get a hold of either one of their phones!! Finally, I get in touch with them and I got the alarm off. Oh, and they were on their way home...little mix-up about the time. So, we go inside to wait for them and, we're assuming, the police to show up.
In the meantime, we took some pics of McCoy in his adorable golfer costume. The little stinker is still giving me his cheese face!!!

Love his little outfit!

The Deweese's got there and we welcomed them into their home;) McCoy and Holden were so excited to see each other! Holden made an awfully cute puppy!

Hugs for Holden!

Golfer found a golf club...what a surprise!

Perfecting his swing so he gets more candy

Trying to get his hat off...but we bribed him with candy to keep it on:)

Cutest little puppy ever!!

After we took some pics of the boys, we decided to head out and trick or treat. As soon as we started to leave two cop cars pulled up! Luckily, we were able to talk them out of arresting Leanne;)

What am I going to do with her??

Once the cops left, we loaded the boys up in the wagon with their treat bags and some other random toys they found in the garage...

Take us to the candy!

At the first house we went to, the guy who opened the door was dressed as Beetle Juice. The boys weren't too sure about that and Holden kept saying "scary". So, for the rest of the night, everytime we stopped at a house, he would say "scary". It was so cute!

McCoy getting candy and smelling the flowers!

Trick or treat!

Running to the next one!!

Taking a break

McCoy and me

The boys had so much fun and so did their mommies and daddies! I think we were all worn out!!
After trick or treating, we took McCoy over to his cousin's house for some pics, but we were a little late. They were worn out too and already in the bath:( But Dig was still up for some pics!!

We had such a fun Halloween night and were glad we got to visit with so many friends! McCoy is so excited for next year and says he is going to be a cat!!

Go Jackets!!

This past Friday, Kirk, McCoy, and I met my parents in Little Rock for a fun overnight getaway! The main reason we were there was to watch my cousin, Morgan, play in one of his last football games. He plays for Sheridan and he's a senior this year, so we wanted to make sure we saw at least one of his games. They played JA Fair, so it worked out perfectly for us to make it a fun mini trip! Oh, and the Jackets won...added bonus!! I wasn't able to get a whole lot of pics of the game because we left a little early. We were so not prepared for the VERY COLD temps!!!

Morgan's side view...he's #44

Cissy (my other cousin) is on yearbook, so McCoy was helping her out and making sure she got all the right shots!!!

We hated to leave early but were so glad we got a chance to visit with my cousins and Aunt! Love yall!

So this might not make any sense to those of you who aren't complete TCBY obsessed fans....BUT if I am in a town where they have one I must go!!! Even though we left the game early because we were FREEZING it was a must that we stop by TCBY and get some white chocolate mousse even though my teeth were still chattering...

and it was totally worth it!! If I hadn't been so full from dinner, there would've been some Reese's cups involved!!

The next morning we took our time getting up and then, went to the zoo. We got there just in time for a little "show" that was fun but also a little scary.

Waiting for the show

We had no idea what to expect from the show, but it was very entertaining. They brought out lots of HUGE birds and had them flying back and forth over our heads...really closely! We had to duck several times and one bird's wing swiped Dad's head!!

A big bird...can't remember what it's called, but it was really close to my head at one point!

After the show, we went to check out some of the animals.

Monkeys are always a favorite!

Group pic with "Martha" and "Ellen" in the background...those are their real names.

Giraffe photo op, but the giraffe disappeared behind Kirk's head as soon as I took this pic!

McCoy also really started to like the head cut-out deals (what are they called??). Everytime we saw one, it was time for a pic! I love how he sticks his head all the way out of the hole!!

After the zoo, we went to The Purple Cow for a yummy and NOT low-fat lunch!! The Purple Cow is Pop's absolute favorite and I think it might be pretty high on Kirk's list, too! After lunch, it was time to head back home. It was such a fun trip with Pop and Gigi!!!

McCoy's 3rd Birthday!!

Saturday was McCoy's 3rd birthday (more on my feelings about that later...), so we decided to celebrate with some of McCoy's besties at Jump!Zone!! This is the first year that he's actually talked about his birthday and wanting to open presents. It made celebrating really fun!!

McCoy's birthday party theme was WonderPets because he is OBSESSED with them and has been for over a year. I had a cute t-shirt made for him that had Tuck on the front and he was so excited about it!
When the kids first got there, they all got to spend an hour jumping on or sliding down all the inflatable bounce houses that were there. They all had so much fun! McCoy has been to JZ a few times. The first time he was very scared and went down one slide with me, and the second or third times it took him awhile to warm up but he did a lot better. However, I had to go down all the slides with him. But this time, he was fearless and loving every minute. Kirk and I were so excited we'd decided to have his party there!!

All the kiddos

Birthday boy!

Here are some pics of the kids (and some mommies) having fun on the inflatables and slides...

Once they were worn out and hungry, we went into our party room for pizza and cake! They were starving and worn out, so it was no surprise that the room was silent. Too busy eating!!

McCoy was so excited for everyone to sing "Happy Birthday" and get to blow out his candles. He'd already practiced several times that morning!

Thank you Rick's for the delicious cake!!!

After cake and ice cream, McCoy got to sit in the special throne chair and open his presents. He might have been a little overwhelmed and he really didn't understand why we weren't taking the toys out of their box and letting him play with it! No worries, he was able to do lots of that once he got home!

In the picture below, notice the guy in the orange shirt. His name is Wil (spelled just like that) and he was our party captain. He did EVERYTHING!!! He even wrote who gave what gifts for me to write thank you notes!! Now if I could only find that list...

Our family of 3!

Kirk and I were so happy with everything at Jump!Zone! We would definitely recommend it as a great place to have a party!! It was a successful 3rd birthday party and now I can breathe easy...until next year!!!

Ozark Corn Maze

This afternoon Kirk and I took McCoy to the Ozark Corn Maze. I think this is the first year that it has been open, so we were really excited to go try it out! It was a perfect day!
McCoy ran into one of his besties, Cy, who happened to be there with his mama, too! We took the boys into the petting zoo area first. They had goats, a calf, and pigs. One goat just laid there and was loving all the attention, but there was another one that McCoy was chasing around trying to pet him. McCoy used the words "soft" and "it's so cute" to describe the goats!

"Get back here goat!"

After the petting zoo, we bravely ventured into the Razorback-inspired corn maze. McCoy decided that he should be in charge of the map. I'm pretty sure he really thought that he could read it because he looked at it the whole time and tried to lead the pack. I'm not going to lie...we got lost!!! But after awhile of walking around and Kirk getting a little nervous that we didn't have any snacks to keep our energy up, we made it out! We were very proud of ourselves!

"This way!!!"

After the corn maze, McCoy wanted to go on a ride in the cow train. While we waited in line for the train, he played on a huge pile of mulch. He loved it!

Climbing up

Sliding down

Or coming down at a quick run!

When it was our turn on the train, McCoy did not want to go by himself so Mommy jumped in for a VERY bumpy ride! It was a little painful, but McCoy loved it so it was definitely worth it! The whole time we were riding he was saying "going on a train ride!" and "weeeeeee!!".

"And we're off!"

We had so much fun and think that the Ozark Corn Maze is a definite must-see! Love this time of year!!!
