Tuesday McCoy's umbilical cord fell out so Kirk and I gave him the very much anticipated FIRST BATH! Combined with the fact that he was a little fussy that evening and this is our first child so we're not exactly positive as to what in the world we're doing...it didn't go so well. He was not liking it at all! Kirk got the water all ready for him (it might have been a little too cold...) and then he handed him to me to stick in the tub (I might have let his head go under a little too much...). This just set the mood off as not so good!! He cried the whole time!
"Seriously, who let you two have a baby?"
Sucking on his paci for dear life!
Now, isn't here some rule that first time parents get several get out of jail free cards?? So, we tried it again on Wednesday night (McCoy was happy, water was warmer, and no ears went under water). Things went great!!! He loved it!!
"Did somebody give yall a lesson today?"
"Warm water-check, paci-check, dry ears-check!"
"Maybe those two aren't so bad..."
We were so excited that everything went well on Wednesday. Now we can look forward to bathtime every night!

We did the same thing! I love all your funny comments! James' first bath was a little too cold, and we learned our lesson! He definitely likes warm baths much better!! McCoy is SUCH a sweet, sweet baby boy! I am lovin' the fact that you're posting so much and keeping all of his fans satisfied!

Haha! This is too cute! Adam almost wouldn't let Adalie ever get a 2nd bath after the stress her 1st one put him under. Looks like you guys are faster learners than we were!
