On May 9, McCoy hit 7 months (Better late than never!) !! I feel like 7 months is so much older than 6 months for some reason and I'm a little sad. I know he's going to grow up but it is going by so fast!! Everyday I remind myself that I need to enjoy every moment with him and not take it for granted.
At 7 months, McCoy is so much fun! The #1 word to sum him up would be HAPPY! He smiles all the time!
Here are some things I want to remember:
1. He's got a fake cough/laugh thing going on. I can't decide what it is but he uses it a lot when we're not looking at him (which is rare) or when he's looking at a toy.
2. He loves to bang things together or bang on the table. He's got a little toolbench and he loves to bang the hammer on it to get his music going. If he drops the hammer, he'll just use his hand. If we're in a restaurant and he has a toy in his hand, he bangs the table...LOUDLY, until we take it away.
3. He's started to express his opinion on what toys he wants and doesn't want. If I take something away that he likes, he gets upset until I find another toy to occupy his attention. He especially doesn't like it when I take paper away (Why do babies love paper so much?)
4. He is ticklish!!! He cracks up when I tickle him under his arms, on his back, or on his belly. I've got to get this on camera because he laughs SO HARD!! It is so cute!
5. He loves to scream! Not because he's mad, just because he feels like it. He really likes it if I scream back at him. Don't worry, I don't do it too loud though!
6. He laughs a lot! Playing patty cake, peek-a-boo, or just because I'm making a fool out of myself. I will do absolutely anything for a laugh from him!
7. He jabbers a lot and says da-da. Kirk is loving this so we're really working on mama. I know he'll be saying it soon!
8. He can wave HI!!! He loves for people to wave hi to him and gets a huge smile when he does it back.
9. He loves all of his vegetables and fruits. He'd had everything except for prunes which we introduced a couple of weeks ago and he loves those too!
10. When you're holding him or he's taking his bottle, he grabs your arm and pinches. It hurts so bad but I guess he just wants something to hang on to.
11. He's not crawling but if he's on his stomach he will moves his legs and then his arms (at different times) until he is facing the opposite way. He is worn out after this!
12. Also, a lot of times I will leave him sitting up in the floor playing and come back to find him on his stomach. I don't know if he's doing a nose dive or what because I have yet to witness how he gets this way.
13. He can take his own shoes off! When he's sitting down he'll rub his heels together until one comes off and then he will put it in his mouth. I don't know how he figured out how to do this but it looks like he won't be wearing shoes very often anymore! Another thing I need to get on video...
14. He still loves to chew on things! Everything heads straight to his mouth! I think he might be teething because he's drooling a lot more but he's always chewed on EVERYTHING so it's hard to tell.
I know there is so much more that I want to say and it will come to me but I was so late on this post that I just wanted to get it done! He is just so much fun to be with and you can't help but be happy when you're around him. He always has a HUGE smile on his face!!!!
Ok, I've got to go because I can hear him talking to his daddy and I don't want to miss out on him saying ma-ma!! Fingers crossed!

Rachel, he is so cute!! I love the picture of him biting Kirk's nose. Tayson does that sometimes too and it hurts!!
Tayson also did that fake cough/laugh and still does! If we are in a store or resturant and he wants someone near him to pay attention to him, he does this really loud fake laugh to get them to look at him!!
They are SOOO much fun but just grow up WAY too fast!!
They really do grow sooo fast! I can't believe Tyler just turned 2 months yesterday! He is in the 90+ percentile in weight and height but only 25 in head size!!
I love how you take his pictures in front of the frog each month. We had one of those huge teddy bears for Tyler, but had absolutely no where to put it, so we gave it to our neighbor who just had her baby girl!
Enjoy your little man and try to get as many precious moments on video. I have yet to video much because I'm addicted to the still camera! It is going to be so special to look at the videos several years down the road.
He is SO big!! He doesn't look like a little baby anymore! I'll have to find a big animal to take Kaleb's pics each month because I love how you've used the frog....and the frog keeps getting smaller and smaller! He seems like such a happy and content little boy!!
OK, that post almost made me sad because I know exactly what you mean by them seeming so much older after 6 months! I started getting depressed from about 9 months to a year, but then he started talking and we have yet to stop laughing!!
McCoy's big, open mouth smiles remind me of Jett. I love it!!
Rachel, McCoy is so stinkin cute! It is so hard to believe that he is already 7 months! I feel like you were just in the store pregnant! I truly am so happy for you! I know you are such an amazing mom. Treasure every little thing that he does, because they really do grow up too fast! We need to get together soon! Paige
What a cutie pie! I am so proud of all that McCoy is doing! And it's a nice glimpse into our very near future with Miss Addison!
I have to start taking her picture in the same place, too. That frog is killing me! =)
The picture of him biting on Kirk's nose is so funny. It reminds me of my kids...they both did that!!
I love all of his BIG smiles! He's such a cutie pie!
Wow, he is growing fast! He just gets cuter and cuter with every new pic you post!
He is growing up so fast! I love that I have gotten to watch him grow up through this blog. Aren't blogs the best?!? One of my favorite things about him...ok two... His smile. EVERY picture has a huge smile! And his blue eyes!!! Those two combine are perfect!
He is gorgeous
