Popsicles on the Patio

We have had a great weekend but it has gone by too fast! We started it off Friday with popsicles on the deck! I've found these great sugar-free, real fruit popsicles at the store that McCoy loves! I normally hold it for him and give him licks but this time I just decided to let him go for it! He loved it! Even though I knew it was going to be a huge mess for both of us, it was definitely worth it! He only got a few licks in between waving it around and showing it off before the whole thing had melted down his arm.

"Look at what I've got!"

"Oh, so this is what you're supposed to do!"

"What? Is there something on my face?"

Afterwards, we came inside for a drink and a little bath out of his sippy cup. He loves to wave it around and dump it in his lap, but I think he got a few drinks in.

Saturday afternoon we drove out to the lake. Kirk's parents' have a boat and some friends of their's have a lakehouse that they let us use.

The first thing we did was head down to the dock for some fishing. Or Kirk fished while McCoy and I watched.

"What's for dinner, Dad?"

Captain McCoy

After hanging out on the dock, we definitely needed to cool off, so we went to the pool for a quick swim. On the way to the lake, we realized we'd forgotten McCoy's crab that he normally uses so we stopped by the store to pick up a new float toy. We picked up this motorboat which plays "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" when you press on the top. He loved it!!

And then it was dinnertime, so we headed back to the lakehouse. Kirk made salmon and corn on the grill and it was yummy! After dinner, McCoy found a new favorite toy. MAGAZINES!! Who would've thought these could be so fun?!

"Mom, can we get some of these at home??"

After an eventful day, we were worn out! We had such a great weekend and hate to see it come to an end!

He is so adorable!!! Ellis loved phonebooks-she would sit for an hour and tear out pages. So, yes, we understand the magazine fetish! Have fun!!!
