Swim Ranch

Last week, McCoy took swim lessons at Swim Ranch. I was a little nervous on the first day because he has been very scared of the water this year. On Monday, he was a little nervous but we stuck it out and by Tuesday, he was much better! He ended up loving it! We almost didn't take lessons at Swim Ranch this year but I'm so glad we did. They do an excellent job and McCoy loved his teachers, Ms. Virginia and Miss Leni!!!
On Friday (the last day), Kirk came to get pictures and video. McCoy did great for the first half and then decided he wanted to hang out with Daddy instead of swimming, and we ended up having a little meltdown! But overall, it was so much fun! I think we'll be spending lots of time at the pool this summer!!!!

Kick, kick, kick, kick, kick!!!!

We also took lots of video and I'm so glad that we did! He has loved watching himself!

The first video is him with Ms. Virginia and he's getting out of and back into the water all by himself. In the beginning, he does his new trick of swinging his bat, which he does constantly these days! Also, when he's getting out of the pool you can hear him grunting! That's the first, and only time he ever did that and luckily, we caught in on video!

The next video is of him kicking across the pool with his buoy on and then getting out and jumping back in. Whenever they were supposed to jump from a standing position, he refused to stand up! It ended up being a good arm workout for mommy, though!

And the last one is McCoy with Ms. Virginia and she's using him to show everyone what to do with their kickboard. This was the first day he actually let her take him without crying so we made big progress! He starts crying a little bit when he realizes I'm not close by, but he kept kicking and did a great job!
