Labor Day Zoo Trip

A few days before Labor Day, when the weather was so nice, Kirk and I decided that it would be fun to spend the holiday at the Tulsa Zoo. The only problem was, by the time Monday rolled around, it was close to 100 degrees!!! However, when we left the house for Tulsa at 9:00 am it wasn't nearly that warm.

So, it probably wasn't the best day to go, but we got in a couple of good hours of zoo fun before we just couldn't take it anymore!!!

We took McCoy to the zoo last summer and he liked it, but this year was completely different. Whenever we would tell him to look at something, he would "oooohhhh" and "awwww" and point like it was the neatest thing ever! He also liked looking at the snakes and making a hissing sound. He had a big time and we loved watching him get so excited! We'll definitely plan to take another trip when it's a little cooler.
