What Cabin Fever??

We have been stuck inside the house for the past couple of days due to LOTS of ice and snow! I thought we might get a little cabin fever but we've been having way too much fun!!!
We haven't spent a whole lot of time outside, mainly because my poor child doesn't have good snow gear. I know! I can't believe that I wouldn't ever think to pick him up some waterproof pants or boots! So, yesterday morning when we went outside he had to wear jeans with some flannel pants over them and his Nikes. Luckily, after the snow we had a few weeks ago, I did pick him up some mittens so his little hands were good and warm. You live and you learn and snow gear is definitely on our list for next year!
It took McCoy a while to get warmed up to the snow but once he did he had lots of fun running around in it. Sophie did too. She wasn't going to let a little hip and elbow displasia keep her down!

We've spent most of our time playing inside. McCoy has been keeping Kirk and I entertained, for sure!

Kirk and McCoy have spent lots of time playing with Legos. In the past few months, he has gotten really into his Legos and loves to build tall towers and then knock them down. The funny thing is, he will knock it down, but he gets a little sad after he does it. And then we just do it all over again. Daddy is definitely his favorite Lego partner. I don't think Mommy is as good at making the towers!

Patiently waiting for me to take his picture...

...WHAM! Down it goes!

We've also played with Play-doh. He's not really into play-doh just yet but he liked watching Daddy make a mask...

and smashing his train tracks into the play-doh!

On a side note...If you're wondering why he's running around without a shirt on when it's below freezing outside, it's because he's learned to take it off. This means that I can leave the room for a minute and come back to find him topless! He can also take his pants off and if I leave him without his pants on, I will not be surprised to find him with no diaper on either! Seriously, what am I going to do with him??? Ha!

Some other random things McCoy has been doing while stuck inside are below...

Working on his art

Practicing some new hairstyles

Perfecting his fake smile

and posing for the camera!

Looks like we're going to need a little bit more work on the posing, so luckily we're probably stuck inside for the rest of the weekend! However, I think we've got a big trip to the store planned for this afternoon!! Woohoo! Hope everyone is staying safe and warm!

Snow gear is also on our list for next year. I actually put a trash bag over A's pants and it kept his legs dry!
