This morning, McCoy had a Halloween party at preschool. We talked about his party yesterday, so he woke up and told me it was time to get up and get ready for Halloween;).
The plan was that the kids were going to head out and trick or treat downtown as soon as everyone got there. Then, come back to the class for snacks and activities. I had told his teacher that I would help and walk with the kids downtown. So I dressed up the kids in their adorable Halloween shirts (I even washed them last night since they wore them yesterday) and we got to school on time, camera and trick-or-treat bag in tow. I felt like I was on top of it!! When we get there, I realize lots of the kids have on their costume...in fact, everyone does, except for McCoy!! For some reason, it just never crossed my mind to put his costume on. McCoy didn't care but I felt AWFUL!! So, while they went trick-or-treating, I ran home and got his costume. I still feel guilty that he went trick-or-treating without his costume and can't believe I didn't think to put it on him. I even called Kirk on my way home to get it and he thought I was crazy for not putting him in his costume.
However, no matter how crazy his mama is, McCoy still had a blast!! Since we were getting McCoy's costume, I decided to go ahead and put Violet in her's, too. I mean, who is Peter Pan without Tinkerbell????
The party was lots of fun! McCoy got to eat his favorite cookies, play some pumpkin bowling and throw spiders in a bucket. He also got LOTS of candy that I think looks very tasty;)!!
