Saturday Fun!

Saturday was a very, very busy day for our little family. Kirk, going on virtually no sleep, got up early to go run in the Chile Pepper 10K. I was so proud of him for being so motivated! GiGi kept McCoy while Dad and I went to cheer Kirk on. He did a great job and McCoy was so excited for his daddy!

Kirk, Me, Lauren, and Leanne

Kirk and Daniel

Lauren's husband, Daniel, also ran and Leanne came along for moral support. Unfortunately, due to McCoy's eating schedule, I missed the race but Lauren got some really good pictures of Kirk running. Yeah for the sleepy new daddy running the whole race!!!

When we got home, GiGi had gotten McCoy all dressed up in his Razorback gear and read him the story of Big Red (Arkansas' mascot). He was loving his bouncy seat!

That afternoon, Dig, MeMe, Aunt Molly, Owen, and Anna Grace came over to visit. McCoy had lots of fun visiting with is new cousins!

Later that afternoon, Pop and Kirk went to the Auburn game. We had to get a picture of the boys in all their Arkansas gear! Even though we lost, these guys looked so cute!

Amanda and Harry came by to visit too. We really wanted a picture of Harry and McCoy together but Harry was more into chasing Henry. Next time we'll have to clear out all the animals to get a good one.

McCoy loves Amanda!

That night, after watching the Razorbacks lose...again, we had some very sleepy boys!

So sweet!!!!!!!!!!

On Sunday, Katie and Brian came by for a quick visit on their way out of town. McCoy loved them and was wide-eyed the entire time! We can't wait to see them again this weekend!
After that busy weekend, McCoy can't wait to see what happens next weekend! He is having so much fun and loving all the attention!

McCoy's First Outing and Fun Visitors!

Friday afternoon McCoy, Kirk, and I had our first little family outing! He had a dr's appt so we got him all dressed up with his Cardinals gear from Pop and headed off. He didn't like getting in the carseat but once the car got moving, he was out!

I'm ready to go!

(Yes, we have already broken in and given the pacfier...and he LOVES it!)

This is pretty relaxing

The dr's appt went great! He is down to 8 1/2 pds., which is normal, and the Dr said he had a LITTLE bit of jaundice but nothing to be concerned about. Yeah for McCoy!

When we got home, Lauren and Daniel had just driven in from Tulsa and couldn't wait to come by and see him. We were so happy that they were here and had been telling McCoy all about them. He was dying to meet them! Also, Leanne came over to visit after school. We had so much fun hanging out for a little while and just watching McCoy!

Daniel gives McCoy some manly advice!

Loving on baby!

McCoy Comes Home!!

We're HOME! Our new family came home from the hospital on Wednesday around noon. We only had to stay there for 24 hours and we were so excited to get home and show McCoy his bedroom and all of his new toys!

So we put him in his cute outfit and home we came!

Got my outfit on and I'm ready to go!

I'm not sure how I feel about his carseat...

These two crazy people are always smiling at me!! They must really love me!

My first night in my cradle...or my parent's bed!

We are having so much fun with our sweet baby! I've got so many pictures that I want to get up here but we've been staying really busy. He loves to eat, so that has kept me occupied to say the least!!

I know you have seen plenty of pictures, though. Amanda did such a great job on the last three posts!! I wanted to make sure the video was up at the top for awhile! Ok, it sounds like someone needs to eat so I better go. I'll try to get more up this afternoon or tomorrow.

Just one more picture...

This is one of my absolute favorites from the hospital! I love those lips!!!

The Joy of McCoy

McCoy was 21 and 1/2 inches, I missed that part! He has huge hands and feet! He is absolutely precious! Mommy is doing wonderful! Daddy is the very excited, I didn't think Kirk got worked up over anything! That room is filled with smiles(and goldfish, now that Harry visited)! McCoy is as healthy as they come and can not be more sweet! He has big fan club that can't keep their hands off of him! Here are few shots and I made a video of the rest! He had a room full of visitors every time we came by, but I was not able to get all of their photos! We love McCoy! The Proud Parents and Baby are scheduled to come home tomorrow around noon! New and better pictures will be posted!

Bedding Has Arrived!

It's finally here!! I picked up McCoy's bedding yesterday after patiently waiting for 4 months for it to be ready!!! We are thrilled with the way it turned out and are so excited to have his nursery done before he arrives.

Front view-as you can see, I don't have the ties done yet...

The insides of the bumper pads are a different color but the whole outside is lime green.

So, we're completely ready! We just need McCoy to go in it or else Henry, the cat, might try to claim it for himself. I mentioned in my last post that Thursday was my due date...and now it's Sunday. We've been waiting and it seems like McCoy is just not wanting to leave his mama's belly quite yet. So, Tuesday, October 9, we're going in to be induced!! It works out a little better this way because my parents are going to be able to make their drive on Monday night and be here for everything. They were a little nervous about being in a rush to get here so everybody can be a little bit more relaxed this way. It's so exciting to have a definite deadline and know that we'll be meeting our little boy soon! We can't wait!
The plan is that the next time you hear from me, I'll be posting pictures of our new baby boy! We can't wait for Tuesday!!

We love you, McCoy and we'll see you soon!!
