Only 6 weeks left to go!! As of today, I am 34 weeks along!! I can't believe we are getting so close.
Last week I experienced a few new things that I was lucky to not have to deal with until now. The first was that my hips started hurting...BAD! At my doctor's appt, I was sure he was going to tell me I was going into labor any minute and put me on bed rest! However, he said it is perfectly normal and it just means my hips are starting to spread apart, turn out a little bit, and make room for McCoy. I might have overreacted a little bit but it hurt!! Good news is that they feel a lot better this week!
That leads me into my next symptom.... Did you see where I mentioned that my hips are turning out?? Well, apparently, this is what causes the waddle...or what I like to call "March of the Penguin".

If I'm wearing black and white (which I do...A LOT) I look just like these guys! It gets worse towards the end of the day. Now I have to admit that before I was pregnant and in early pregnancy I told myself that I would not waddle. BUT, I have now come to realize that you have to really think about it if you want to walk normal!! And apparently, like my doctor said, there is a medical reason for it so I can't help it!!
My last new symptom that I've been very lucky to not have until now and still don't have very often is heartburn. But I have had it a few times and the Tums work great!
All in all, I feel like I've been pretty lucky. McCoy's movements are starting to feel a lot different. Instead of big kicks I just feel him pressing a foot or hand against me to stretch out. He likes to play too, where I'll push back at him and he'll press a little harder. Pretty neat! I guess he's kind of running out of room! I've also started to notice hiccups!
Ok, so here it is...the 6 week pic...

My belly is definitely getting bigger and harder! I think I might not be able to wear some of my tops anymore!
And of course, I couldn't let Kirk go a week without having to paint or put something together, so this week's chore was putting the crib together, which he did a great job! I only had to make him look at the instructions two or three times.

Getting it all put together...

Finished!
We're still waiting on our bedding to come in which will hopefully be here in the next couple of weeks. Basically that's our last big thing to complete the room besides getting it all decorated. I can't wait until it's completely done!
Sorry this has been a rambling post but there is just so much I want to be able to remember. I'll try to keep it shorter next time! Probably...

OK...I definately have to see you again before McCoy is born to witness the "waddle" for myself!! When I saw you at the first of the month, I honestly did not think your tiny frame could handle any more belly!! You look great and I cannot wait to see the finished room.
You look adorable, McCoy's room is going to be so fun. Too funny about the penguins! HAHA! Maybe you could be Happy Feet!
Chad wants to know if Kirk is wearing your shorts.
Katie-You have to see it! It's hilarious!!
Amanda-That's so funny that you mentioned the shorts! They're his running shorts and he told me to not get them in the picture but I had to to show the crib!
Fortunately and unfortunately God blessed me naturally with "good birthing hips" therefore my hips were not far from position while I was preggo so I didn't experience that. But I did say the same thing-that I wouldn't waddle and then ate my words. First of many.
You look too cute and I love McCoy's room. It is getting close!
I remember my hips spreading, too, and it HURTS! They have gone back most of the way, but they still aren't quite as narrow. I don't care, though, and maybe it won't hurt as much next time. It took me a while to stop waddling after James was born...I had to consiously think to not do it! I think it takes a while for all of your ligaments to tighten back. Thinking about you a lot and hope these last few weeks are as comfortable as possible!
