Today McCoy is 5 months old!! Kirk and I were just saying today how fast it has gone. It is absolutely crazy to think that 5 months and 1 day ago, he wasn't here yet!! It just feels like he has been here forever!
We are having so much fun with McCoy at this stage. He is such a happy little guy!
Here are a few things we want to remember:
1. He loves to talk and squeal, LOUDLY! He talks all the time and when he gets really excited, he will squeal. However, sometimes he gets so excited he just can't figure out what to do that he opens his mouth and nothing can come out but a pant! It's so cute!
2. He loves to stand up (with us holding him of course)! Friday I was over at Joanna's house and she had him in her lap and he refused to sit! His whole body went rigid and he was just pushing out with his legs. So funny!
3. He rolls over...a little bit. He can roll from tummy to back, but he will not do it very often (I'm wondering if this is because he's a big baby??). He hates being on his stomach so sometimes he will just plop his head down and cry but every once in a while he will surprise us and roll over. We get very excited!!
4. He laughs when you tickle him! This has got to be my favorite thing!! I love hearing his little laugh but he only gives it out sparingly! I can't wait until he laughs all the time!
5. He can sit up in his stroller and his high chair. He can't sit on the ground without support but he loves being in his high chair and stroller. It gives him a new view of the world! He can also sit (for about 5 seconds) if he puts his hands in front of him on the ground. But, it's for a VERY short time and then he topples over!

6. He eats for the last time at 7:30 and then goes to bed at 8:00. This is such a difference from when we were keeping him up until 10 or 11. As for sleeping through the night, sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. We're working on that...
7. He still sleeps in our room in his cradle but he is taking naps in his room now! YEAH! This is huge because until this past week I could barely get him to take one nap a day and now he's gone to two!! Fingers crossed that we can keep that up!
8. He smiles for everyone but saves his biggest smiles for his Mommy and Daddy!!! And Kirk and I absolutely love it!
I'm sure there are so many things that I am missing but I'll add them as I remember. We're having so much fun seeing McCoy's little personality pop out more and more everyday! He is such an amazing little guy! We love you McCoy!!!

Happy 5 month birthday, Mr. Special! Don't even want to think what you will be doing in the next 5 months---time is going too fast! Hope you can come over soon to see us--we love you!

I can't believe he is 5 months already. He is so much fun and learning so fast. What a joy and blessing to have him in your life!
I ser up and account and I am so happy that I can read about him and see his pics. "Happy Birthday" McCoy! 5 months ? How is that possible. Seems like only yesterday. Before we know it you will be 1 year old. Tell your Mommy and Daddy not to let the time fly too fast.

Happy Birthday McCoy!! Justin always teases me because I always make Tayson's monthly birthdays a big deal. I always sing Happy Birthday to him. Justin thinks I am going to confuse him and make him think he has 12 birthdays a year!! I love how he laughs when you tickle him. There is no better sound in the world!!!

Reading your posts get me so excited about having this baby! It almost like they are a soothing reality that what is about to happen for us is going to be the best thing in the world! (not that I already knew that and expected it, but reading your posts make it actually seem REAL)!!
You sound like such a great mommie!! McCoy is truly lucky to have parents like ya'll!
5 months! He's so precious and I know you'll love the next five months just as much as you've treasured the past 5 months. Keep celebrating those monthly birthdays.

Time flies when you're having fun!! Those baby giggles are the sweetest sound in the world. I love that outfit on him. Jett had the exact same one, and the socks too!
Awww!! I loved that he gets frustrated and puts his head down and cries when he is on his tummy. I mean, I don't LOVE it that he is upset, but that is just the sweetest memory to treasure. : ) We all love Mr. McCoy!
I cannot believe that it was 7 months ago that I came up for his shower! He's growing up so fast.
Rachel he is so cute!!!! I hope things are going great with you. Walker will be turning two in a week so I am a basket case. I can't beleive how fast two years has gone by.Enjoy every minute of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
