Are we there yet??
We stayed with Lauren and Daniel and had so much fun. Saturday night Lauren made some wonderful spaghetti for the guys to carb up on and she also made the best brownies I have ever tasted! Carissa and Mike, some friends of their's that live up the street also came over and brought their kids, Easton and Emmie. The kids are adorable!! We had so much fun laughing at Easton and oohing and aahing over Emmie.Emmie (14 mths) and Easton (2 1/2)
The next morning we got up early to get ready for the run! I had to get up EXTRA early to pack up all the stuff needed to travel with a newborn. It was amazing all the stuff we had to bring. Lauren and Daniel probably thought we were moving in!We got to the marathon just in time for the guys to head to the start line. It was good that it wasn't too warm, but it did end up getting a little humid.
Kirk's parents and Kyle and Jessica came down to shop on Saturday for Kyle's birthday so they were also there. We were able to find them in the big crowd after the race started.
After the race started, Lauren, McCoy, and I hopped in the car so we could meet the boys at several spots to give them water and energy gel. What supportive wives we are!!
After this we headed back to the finish to watch them come in...
At mile 15, Kirk stepped into a drain in the street and twisted his right ankle. It was already messed up anyways so for the last 11.2 miles he was in serious pain. He probably should have dropped off but he's too competitive for that. He's in serious pain today and he's got an x-ray scheduled so I will keep you updated on what happens. Hopefully, it's just a slight sprain...
But after the race, both him and Daniel were all smiles!
McCoy did a great job the whole day. It was also my first time to try out his sling and he loved it. Lauren and I have done this before but it was quite an adventure with a newborn. Lots more fun!!
After the marathon, we met up with some of Daniel's friends from work who ran the relay and ate lunch. Everyone was starving!!
McCoy loves Auntie Lauren!
Then, our little family headed home. McCoy and Kirk slept in the back after a long day. McCoy and I are both very proud of Daddy for his big finish!! Just keeping our fingers crossed that his ankle and foot are ok!!
Thanks Lauren and Daniel for letting us stay with you!! Don't know about Kirk and Daniel, but Lauren, McCoy and I can't wait for the next marathon!

WOW - I am so impressed with anyone who can run a marathon! What an accomplishment. I couldn't run 26 FEET! ha! You are a good wife to meet him and give him water! :-)I wonder if McCoy will become a runner!
I am also impressed! Running is serious business. McCoy looked adorable, of course! David lived in Tulsa when we were engaged, so it always feels like our 2nd home when we go visit!
I think its great that you get McCoy out and do fun things like this! A lot of moms confine themselves to their homes after they have kids and that's no way to live! Good job, mom!!!
Way to go Kirk!! I hope the x-rays come back ok.
