This post has been a long time coming since we saw his first smile on November 8. But, they were quick and you never knew when it was coming so I never was ready with the camera. Now, he's a smiling machine!!
Here's the story:On the morning of Nov. 8, Gigi was holding him and she told me that he just smiled. I told her it was probably gas pains. Then we sat him down in his bouncy seat and I started talking to him. He did it again!! There was no mistaking it for a gas pain because it was huge! I was so excited!! From then on, my mission was to get him to smile. He probably thought I was incredibly annoying!!
His smile goes through a few phases. It starts off with a closed mouth and his lips turned up-then, he sticks his tongue out between his lips-and last his whole mouth opens and sometimes he'll let out a little squeal. It's absolutely adorable and the most gorgeous thing in the world to me!! So basically, I stand in front of him all day with a camera waiting to snap the picture at the perfect time.

Precious! There probably can't be any better feeling in the world than when your child smiles at you! Except for maybe when he starts saying "momma"!
