Last Thursday, McCoy and I hopped in the car with Gigi and headed to L.A. Kirk had to stay here for work so he drove down Friday night. I was a little worried about the 5 hour drive but McCoy did great! We pulled over a couple of times for diaper changes but that was it. The only bad thing that happened was I spilt milk all over the car while shaking up a bottle and it was all the milk I had left! Luckily, we were only 30 minutes from Gigi and Pop's house so we were able to keep him occupied until we got there!
As soon as we arrived, Gigi and Pop's good friends, Marc and Patti, came over to see him. They had been dying to meet him!! They were pros since they already have their own grandson and got lots of smiles from McCoy!Friday afternoon, McCoy and I met Pop at his office while Gigi got her hair cut. We had lunch and then McCoy visited all of Pop's friends at work. I think Pop wanted to keep him in his office all day but he needed to get some work done.

Plus, we had to get McCoy ready for his first wine and cheese party! Several of mom's friends had been wanting to meet him, so everyone was invited over late Friday afternoon to see him. McCoy had lots of fun and did lots of smiling and talking. He's a party animal!!
Saturday morning my Aunt Te-Te (her real name is Tami...that's just what I call her) and her kids, Cissy and Morgan came to see him. Te-Te checks the blog everyday and shows all her friends at work his pictures so she's very proud of her great nephew! It was great to catch up with them because we don't get to see them very often.Morgan's a pro!
McCoy also had a few new things to try out: his crib and a swing that some of Gigi's friends gave her. He loved them both!! And I loved the bedding on the crib! We also found out the he loves all the rainforest stuff. Of course, we've always known that about his bouncy seat, but he also loved the mobile and the swing. I think he likes the bright colors and fun upbeat music that it plays.
Here are some other cute pictures I took over the weekend.
What a cute little elf!!
Pop and Gigi's shoulders are a perfect place to nap
Oh Pop, you're hilarious!
Kirk and I always have such a great time in El Dorado and we're glad that McCoy loves it, too! We can't wait for our next visit!!

Looks like ya'll had a great time in L.A. ha! I love that your mom has a crib for McCoy at her house. Talk about some excited grandparents! It's so cute too!
Your parents are as cute as you are!
I am drooling over that bedding. I am a huge fan of black and white. My guest bath is black and white, with red. Too cute!
Great post- that smile of McCoy's is so precious. Looks like you had a great time. We will be heading to "LA" in a few weeks for Christmas.
Oh- BTW I have an Aunt She She (Sheila)- good to know these kind of names stick with other families too!
That is the sweetest picture of him asleep on Pop's shoulder!! It's obvious McCoy already has them all wrapped around his finger! And he should...he's so cute!!!
Love the bedding! WOW GIGI!
