McCoy is 3 Months Old!

Today McCoy is 3 months old! I love this age! He's developed such a personality and loves to smile! We cannot remember a time when we didn't have him in our lives.

There are a few things I want to remember about McCoy at this age:

1. He loves for people to talk to him and he loves to talk back! As soon as you start talking to him, he smiles so big! We can be in the store and strangers will come up and start talking and he will give them a big smile. It really does seem to make people's day...almost as much as it makes mine!

2. He doesn't like to be alone! He can be playing and completely focused on a toy but as soon as he realizes that I have stepped into the next room for a minute, he will scream. All I have to do is walk back in a talk to him and he starts smiling at me and goes back to his toy.

3. He loves toys with lights and music. He gets so focused on them, starts kicking his legs, and holding his arms up like he's riding a motorcycle. Sometimes I swear he's kicking his legs on beat with the music! This might mean he didn't get his dad's dancing skills...
4. Also, whenever he hears music he kicks his legs. Mom and I were looking at someone's blog yesterday and they had a video on there with music playing. He started kicking really hard and had a very serious look on his face.

5. He's started staring very intently at his hands and feet. Sometimes he focuses so much that he goes cross-eyed.

6. He loves to chew on his fist or fingers. If he spits his paci out, in goes the fist. I think he's trying to fit the whole thing in his mouth...takes after his mommy!

7. Just yesterday he started reaching for and grabbing his toys. It takes him a little while to work out that he needs to open his fist but once he realizes this, he's got it. Then it also takes him a little while to understand how to let go of it too. I'm sure that will all come in time and then we won't be able to stop him from grabbing things!

Yeah! He got it!

8. He hates the hiccups!! He gets so mad and starts crying or screaming in between them. The doctor told me that they wouldn't bother him but I know they do. Everybody gets mad when they have the hiccups!


9. He loves his bouncy seat! Once the waterfall and music starts, he kicks so hard! He comes close to kicking himself right out of it. We're going to have to get that on tape...

10. When he wants something, he wants it now! At the first little sign that he's hungry I better start feeding him or he gets to worked up. He starts crying so hard that sometimes he chokes himself up.

It's so amazing to think of how much he has changed in the last month and we know that there are only bigger things to come. We are just so thankful that we were picked to be this little guy's parents!! Happy 3 months to our #1 guy!!! We love you!
