Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy!

Today McCoy is 1 Year Old!!! I know I say this every time, but it has flown by!!! Kirk and I can't remember a time without him in our lives and we don't want to! He is the most amazing little boy and brings so much happiness to our lives everyday.

I'm a little sad today because it has been such a quick year and he's changing so much, so fast! But I love every stage and being able to watch him grow and change a little bit each day. I thank God everyday that he chose me to be McCoy's mommy! It is such an honor!

McCoy was born on October 9, 2007, a Tuesday, at 11:45 am. He was 9 lbs. 21 1/2 inches. It would be an understatement to say that Kirk and I were completely shocked by how big he was!! He had a little bit of blonde hair and blue eyes...another shock!! That day was by far the BEST DAY of my entire life and I would LOVE to go back and relive it all again!! I remember on Tuesday night, at the hospital, I could barely sleep because I was so excited. I kept waking up and staring at him, until I finally decided to just bring him in the bed with me, where he slept for the first 6 months of his life! I know, you're not supposed to but it worked for us!

I want to share my labor story but i will save that for another day. I've been looking at pictures from when he was born and you can go here and here to look at those.

I always take his picture in front of his frog on his monthly birthdays, but it's getting a little bit more difficult that it used to be! I would love to post them all but that would make for a long post! So I'll just do his first at one week and one from today....

Not wanting to sit still anymore!

Many attempts were made to get a good pic but he was not having it!! I will say, picture taking has gotten a lot harder but we're having sooooo much fun!

I know I normally talk about what all he's doing now but I plan to post more later today. I also want to try and get a picture of him smiling in front of his frog!

Also, his birthday party is Saturday so there will be many more pics to come!!
