About the sugar high...McCoy ate about 3/4's of his smash cake. He was having such a good time eating it, I hated to take it away, but finally had to because I was scared that he would get sick!! Well, apparently I should've taken it away sooner, because he went to bed at 9:30 and woke up at 4:00 am, ready for playtime! Lucky for Mommy and Daddy, Gigi and Pop had the monitor!!! So, Kirk and I heard him around 5:30 and got up to help out. We all ended up playing until he was ready for a nap at 7:00!! And we all took one!!! So we're now officially on sugar detox! But he had a blast and that's all that matters!

McCoy's party sounds a lot like Andrew's party. Also the safari theme- it's just perfect for one year old boys. We experienced the same sugar high, because Andrew too ate almost his entire smash cake. Glad to know that you took McCoy's cake away, because I had to do the same and felt kind of guilty since it was his birthday!
Everything is perfect!!!! I love the cake (is it Rick's?) and all that food sounds DELICIOUS!

Those pictures were all sooo cute. Such a cute party for a cute little boy, or big boy! Funny story, we were at Rick's for a weekly Saturday morning ritual and were watching them make cakes and we watched the lady make McCoy's! I figured it had to be his because I saw on your blog the other day that it was his birthday. She was amazing - Ava looks forward to watching the ladies decorate the cakes every week - and LOVED the animal cake. So cute - I know it was such a special day for all of yall!

You should be a party planner!! What a cute cake!! Looks like McCoy had a great time - can you believe he is a year old now? WOW! I am still in disbelief that Cyler is a month old now? Time really has flown by!

I found your blog through some other people. It was great seeing you in Tontitown during th Grape Festival this past summer. McCoy is so cute. It looks like he had a great time at his 1 year birthday party.
