Here's our story:
Last year, we stayed home for Super Bowl Sunday. Kirk was in the bedroom watching the game and I was in the living room flipping around to see what else was on TV. I remember contemplating on whether or not I should take a test. I was a week late but we had been trying for 9 months so you can imagine the number of tests I had gone through. I really didn't want to take another one and disappoint myself again, which I thought I would do. So Monday morning I was laying in bed at 5 am, when I normally didn't get up until 6:30, still contemplating the same thing...should I or shouldn't I?? I decided to go ahead and do it and immediately I saw double blue lines!!!! I was so excited and a little speechless! I ran and jumped on the bed to wake Kirk up...I think I kind of scared him a little!
Me: "I just took a pregnancy test!"
Kirk (VERY groggily): "What did it say?"
Me: "It was positive!"
Kirk (still a little groggy): "Are you serious?"
That woke him up a little more and then we sat on the bed for a little while and stared at the test. Then it was off to work and we had to keep it to ourselves for two weeks!! We wanted to wait to tell my parents in person and that's when they were planning to come in town. It was pure torture!
I will never forget anything about that day. We were sooooo excited! We didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl but all we knew is that we loved that little thing in my tummy A LOT!
So now, one year later, we get to look at McCoy's adorable face everyday and feel so blessed. It is amazing how much you can love someone! Words can not even explain it!

Isn't it wild how a little boy can change your life so much? There is nothing better!!! Enjoy every second of his infancy because before you know it he will be turning a year old and you won't know where the time went.
